The gap
Consultants on a six-month mandate, students, relocating professionals and diaspora returning home all need the same thing: a furnished home for a few months, at a fair monthly price, from a landlord they can trust. In fragmented markets, listings are unreliable and that trust is hard to establish from abroad.
Renting for months usually depends on local contacts, brokers and classifieds that expose phone numbers and verify nothing. Short-stay platforms are built for tourists staying days, so nobody serves the tenant who needs a furnished, fairly priced home for three to twelve months and wants to be sure of it before arriving.
Where the idea came from
Manediu started as an idea for a long-term rental platform in Egypt. It grew into a long-stay platform for opaque rental markets more broadly, built for expats, consultants, diaspora, students, corporate assignees and relocating professionals who need verified housing for months rather than days.
It was built as something deliberately different from short-stay tourism sites: a verification-first rental platform for people relocating, with no exposed phone numbers and none of the chaos of classifieds.

Send your dates, stay length and purpose. The host and Manediu confirm availability and fit before accepting, and no payment is taken up front.
- Book a visit
Ask for a live video walkthrough or an in-person viewing, and the Manediu team arranges it with the host.

Switch displayed rents between US dollars, euros and the local currency.
- Host portal with calendar sync
Landlords and property managers add properties and units, upload photos, set terms, import calendars from other booking platforms and screen requests.
